Visible Records houses 23 semi-private artist studios, ranging from 130 - 312 sq. ft. The 23 artist studios at Visible Records provide 24/7 access to affordable studios for artists who have complex work schedules. The community of artists at Visible Records have created opportunities for critiques, reading/research groups, and artist collaborations.
Visible Records makes a concerted effort to provide below market value space to working artists. In turn, our ideal studio member is one that will utilize the space and add their energy to the general working environment of the space. By promoting an active creative culture in the space we hope that our studio artist will be able to organically share conversations, ideas and skillsets, and develop collaboration on artworks, workshops, screenings, etc.
In addition to their studios, artist are also able to reserve the large common area at no additional cost. This will allow them space and time to expand their practice beyond their studio to teach workshops, host events, create larger artworks or prepare for exhibitions.

Before you submit, please make sure you are providing us with as much information about yourself and your practice as possible. As stated above, we are looking for —and will give priority to— artists who are proactive in their work and will utilize the space. Please provide images that reflect the rigor of your practice.
We review all applications with care and intention, by providing us with a thorough representation of yourself and practice you’ll allow us to make an informed decision on rentals when space becomes available.
